A Snorkel Tunnel
I feel lost, forlorn, sometimes
hopeless and in need of care
the world’s destructive path
often gives me quite a scare
all of mankind seems to be
in search of healing prayer
so I snorkel through these woods
without need to surface for air
the endless spiral of branches
before me are indeed quite rare
one tree stops and another starts
pulling me in like a subtle dare
and my spiral tunnel solitude
closes off the world out there
a light at the end of the tunnel
provides lasting hope with flare
one day we’ll shed this gloominess
one day we’ll vanquish despair

Oh, I like where the image took you and the sound of “spiral tunnel solitude”.
Thanks. I, too, am a fan of snorkeling, and solitude is one of the first words/thoughts it evokes.
“all of mankind seems to be
in search of healing prayer.
Yes, one day we will…
The light at the end of the tunnel is our lasting hope. Well done!
love the adventure and fantasy this brings, a great escape from reality!
Yes, one day we will!
Amazing poem. I like the hope that you mention at the end. It feels uplifting. Thank you for this!💛💙
Thank you so much Vika. Thank you for graciously sharing your art with the world and letting it inspire us.
To reach the other end and be able to breathe is what keep you swimming.
Love the positive attitude to life and the fighting spirit.
I love that the light of hope is a flare.
I never thought about the idea of a forest under water…but what a way to be lost in your own world…very nicely expressed…
It was Vika that planted the seed of snorkeling in her description of this image.
I hope you’re right Ron. (K)
