Endless Circle

The wedding ring upon my finger
an endless reminder of my love for you
even though reminders aren’t necessary

Satisfied expression that I project
providing a clue to what resides within
the soul to you which I surrendered

I awaken each day fortified
with full knowledge and affirmation
my one true champion awaits

Gratified adoration apparent
within the sparkle of your eyes
revealing reciprocated love

I endeavor to leave no doubt
my devotion is endless, like
the wedding ring upon my finger

“a circular poem is one which starts in one place, then journeys away from that place and then circles back to the beginning.”

    1. I was not familiar with it until just now. Thanks. After our ring ceremony, the Apache Blessing was read.

      1. I am not familiar with this? The Heaney poem has two alternate endings and I much prefer ‘and square the circle/four walls and a ring’

  1. Ron, you wrote this about your wife. I can also see it applying to a person as they interact with their higher power. It’s beautiful either way.
