The Tall Ship Navigator

“Maps and tide tables surrounding me
As I chart our course, crossing the sea
Captain says we sail at high tide
He trusts in me to be the ship’s guide
Our dawn departure should unfold fine
Assuming the rowdy crew undocks on time

“Three months captive here on dry land
Soon again on my sea legs I’ll stand
Can’t wait for the thrill of the forward thrust
That each hoist of the sail brings like a gust
As long as we’re graced with clear skies at night
I’m confident my sextant will guide us right

“Across the Atlantic to the New World’s shore
I’ve accomplished it four previous times before
Each crossing begets brand new adventures
Along with some lucrative business ventures
They call me the navigator, with a tone of respect
At least while our five week voyage is in effect”

I like the sense you have created of a bold, adventuring spirit here, Ron. I am a fan of boats and sailing myself, and would much rather sail the high seas than travel in a 747, at least until a storm blows up I suppose…
