The Young Man Named Lott

There was a young man named Lott
Knowledge of his kinfolk he sought
He took a DNA test
And you guessed the rest
Daddy was not who he thought

Young Lott who was now quite upset
Went on to do things he’d regret
He began fooling around
With women all over town
Now has children he’s never met

Blaming it on those inherited traits
Lott went in search of numerous mates
Through many one-night stands
Both here and foreign lands
He spawned offspring in eight different states

To him it seemed quite the joke
Children with whom he never spoke
But they started tracking him down
Now he’s wearing a frown
Childcare payments rendered him broke

This man who at first seemed a louse
Asked each child to visit him and his spouse
The kind gesture was made on a whim
Until they began moving in
Now he’s building a much bigger house

Since Lott never learned to behave
A vasectomy he would soon have to brave
But it was too late
He’d already sealed his fate
40 children now mourn at his grave

  1. Ron, I love this. If we can have an old woman in a shoe, why not a Lott? I wonder what he learned from the dna test that made him spread so many wild oats?
