Hope Lives
The tree
Is evergreen
Bent slightly by the wind
Standing tall near the mountain peak
It lives
The boy
Just six years old
Gazes toward the sky
Solemn about his lost balloon
He lives
Our Love
Grows endlessly
Nourished by attention
Far beyond boundary waters
Love lives
Our Hope
Everlasting
Orchestrated by grace
Enriched by strong human kindness
Hope lives

I like your hopeful poem and dread the other perspective.
