Mesmerized

That night upon the Lady Kate
Snug in the harbor of Kinsale
We toasted another adventurous day
And regaled ourselves with tales
Mesmerized by the setting sun
You gently caressed my shoulder
Again you cast your spell on me
Ensuring love shall never wander

The Lady Kate, Castle Park Marina, Kinsale, Ireland
Formerly a fishing trawler, the Lady Kate has been converted to a hotel.
We had her all to ourselves (not even a crew) for two nights in September 2018.

  1. This is soo romantic! I love the setting sun as a backdrop in this poem. Thank you so much for writing to the prompt ❤️❤️

  2. Ron, I don’t think it can get any more romantic than that. Beautifully written quadrille about a spell-binding memory for you and your lady love.
