Credit The Muse
A muse is but an abstract being
helping transcribe
what our mind is seeing
Or just an object of blame
when our brain locks up
and writing becomes lame
Whatever form it takes for you
give your muse full credit
whenever credit is due

Linked to dVerse Poets Pub — Quadrille #143: Muse Cues, where De Jackson (aka WhimsyGizmo) is hosting and asked us to pen a quadrille using the word muse.

Quadrille: A poetic form introduced at dVerse Poets Pub circa 2011. The rules for Quadrille: not including the title, a poem of exactly 44 words using the prompt word or its variant.
Maybe the muse is just a scapegoat for our own fallacies
Many times
A very true last stanza…
Nice! I feel I often give mine much blame, but forget to give credit.
One of my favorite fallback lines to this, courtesy of Mr. Lennon: “Whatever gets you through the night.” Great thoughtbytes quadrille, Ron.
What is this “muse” of which thou speaketh?
Enjoyed your quad, OtherRon.
Tight quadrille. My muse is sure to take full credit for all my words and whomever has “read-it.” Cheers.
Haha – blame the muse when no words come, I think it’s a bit of magic when words just flow from some hidden place.
Bravo!
We would be lost without our muse.
Very much part of us. And yes, I guess it does take many guises.
A superb poem conveying a wonderful message! 🙂
Wonderfully said, Ron!
Straight to the point, Ron. I could imagine you speaking these words in conversation.

Wonder how much Stephen King pays his?
“an object of blame/when our brain locks up..” Oh, I have been there. Nicely put; a very neat and effective quadrille.
oh yes….and sometimes the muse is fickle and disappears for a day or two! Late to the commenting….catching up here in San Diego.
