Meteoric Devastation

The meteor came from parts unknown
Hitting its target with a force of stone
Earth would never be the same again
Sadly, the sky belched putrid rain
As seeds of ultimate destruction were sown
Up-ending all life as it was known
Rancid air remained foul and distinct
Until all dinosaurs became extinct
Saving only the one called Thesaurus

  1. Clever acrostic and at the same time, an ode to Thesaurus!!! In a very unique way!
Hoping you’ll join us in a bit at dVerse LIVE…it’s Thursday’s OLN so just come to the site at 3 PM (Eastern time zone) today or between 3 and 4 and there’s easy directions and a link to join us. Some come to read one of their poems aloud…others just come to watch and listen….I think you’ve been before…senior memory here. Anyway, consider this a personal invitation. Hope to see you there in a bit!
